Factories & Manufacturing — Heavy-Duty Trade Scopes

Manufacturing floors, equipment pads, and process buildings demand thick slabs, tight tolerances, and reliable envelope work. CRC's crews bid the concrete, low-voltage, insulation, and sanitation scopes GCs want single-sourced.

Our Role

Where CRC plugs in

CRC bids into your industrial GC, EPC, or plant capital-project team as a specialty trade partner. We self-perform heavy slab-on-grade, equipment pads, low-voltage instrumentation cabling, closed-cell spray foam on process buildings, and industrial-grade dump bin and sanitation programs.

CRC does not pursue prime industrial GC work. We support your manufacturing GC, EPC, or electrical contractor as a subcontractor.

Scope Highlights

Heavy slab-on-grade, thickened edges, and reinforced equipment pads

Trench drains, forklift-rated joints, and diamond-ground floor prep

Low-voltage instrumentation, PLC network cabling, and security backbone

Closed-cell spray foam for process rooms, cold storage, and overhead deck assemblies

Batt, board, and blown-in insulation for pre-engineered metal buildings

Roll-off dump bin programs sized for demo and process waste

Typical Timeline

Phase 1

Preconstruction

2–3 weeks

Mix design review, tolerance targets, coordination with equipment vendors and plant safety.

Phase 2

Mobilization

1 week

Plant safety orientation, LOTO compliance, staging plan, roll-off placement.

Phase 3

Execution

4–24 weeks

Phased around production shutdowns, tie-in windows, and equipment set milestones.

Phase 4

Closeout

1–2 weeks

Floor flatness testing, foam thermal reports, warranty documents, final haul-off.

Durations vary by scope size, weather, permitting, and GC schedule. Numbers reflect typical CRC scopes on Louisiana projects.

Example Outcomes

Representative factory & manufacturing scopes CRC has executed as a specialty trade partner.

Equipment Pad Package

River Parishes, LA

Scope

Twelve reinforced equipment pads, trench drains, and low-voltage conduit rough-in in existing manufacturing bay.

Result

All pads set to vendor tolerance on first check; equipment installer mobilized 3 days early.

Cold-Storage Envelope

Jefferson Parish, LA

Scope

Closed-cell spray foam at cold-storage overhead deck and walls, plus batt insulation on adjacent process spaces.

Result

Thermal envelope test passed on first commissioning; annual energy modeling confirmed by owner.

Plant Demo & Sanitation

St. Charles Parish, LA

Scope

Multi-week roll-off dump bin rotation, sanitation stations, and floor sawcutting for retrofit.

Result

Zero missed pulls over 9-week program; plant safety officer signed off with no housekeeping citations.

Trade Divisions
